Job Summary:
The Facilities Technician will assist in ensuring the upkeep, functionality, and safety of our facilities. You will perform preventative maintenance, address repairs, daily cleaning, and collaborate with team members to support our operational needs.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Perform repairs to equipment, fixtures, and building systems as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks for timely resolution.
- Restocks commonly used goods throughout the facility.
- Assistance in the cleaning routine for the manufacturing area as required.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
- Helps ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve facility operations and efficiency.
- Provide assistance with shipping and receiving.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related role.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in various conditions, including heights.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the clean energy sector.
- Properly wear PPE (personal protective equipment), such as gloves, coveralls, and face mask during appropriate times.
- Forklift certified / experience.
- Class 3 and 4
- Machine shop experience.
- Mill, drill press, bandsaw, lathe
- Electromechanical aptitude.
- Stockroom experience.
- Comfortable getting trained on and using a full-face respirator (not required.)
