Position : Industrial Electrician Underground

Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join an underground zinc mining operation in northern New York State . This hands-on role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in a mining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work and the ability to work safely and efficiently in an underground setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install and run cable, wire, and communication systems.
- Mount J-boxes, control boxes, and switch boxes for mechanical installations.
- Read and interpret electrical prints and diagrams.
- Test and troubleshoot circuits, motors, fans, controllers, VFDs, and transformers.
- Perform all terminations and splicing, including high-voltage splicing.
- Develop knowledge of hoisting and crushing operations to troubleshoot and maintain associated equipment.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems and components.
