About Next Play Basketball League (NPBL):
The Next Play Basketball League (NPBL) is a 16U recreational adult basketball league launching in May 2025 as part of Next Play Nation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth through sports, scholarships, and grants.
We are seeking Team Directors to recruit, manage, and coordinate their own teams for our inaugural season. There are ten team slots available, and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about basketball and want to make a positive impact on the community.
League Features:
- Each player will receive a custom jersey with their name of choice on the back
- Certified referees officiating every game
- Weekly Player of the Week recognition
- Championship trophy, rings, and a celebratory dinner for the league champions
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and organize a team for the season
- Manage team logistics, including communication and coordination
- Ensure player participation and compliance with league guidelines
- Serve as the team’s primary point of contact with league officials
- Optional: Team Directors may also coach and/or play on their teams
Requirements:
- Passion for basketball and youth development
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to commit to weekly games on Sundays for the duration of the season
- Experience in coaching or team management is a plus but not required
