SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
NextDecade is seeking a full-time (Management of Change) MOC Coordinator to support long-term operations for the Rio Grande LNG facility located near Brownsville, Texas. The position is based in Brownsville; however, it may require travel to and from Houston. The incumbent will report to the Sr. Manager, Facilities Engineering in the Operations Department, under the leadership of the Sr Director of Engineering and Vice President of Operations. The role has no direct reports, however, will provide day-to-day direction to the MOC Technician. Peer level personnel will include other discipline engineers from within the engineering department.
\n- Provide ownership of the Management of Change process, including the MOC procedure and the MOC digital tool.
- Coordinate the management of change program, and facilitate MOCs progressing from initiation to closeout
- Facilitate the MOC steering committee
- Identify and resolve roadblocks to ensure MOCs progress through to closeout.
- Keep MOC owners accountable for MOC delivery
- Perform quality approval steps within the MOC process for MOCs of all types and disciplines including Plant changes, critical document changes
- Conduct and coordinate routine audit and assurance on MOCs
- Coordinate
- Develop and report KPIs within the MOC process
- Drive continuous improvement in the MOC process, to ensure optimum management of risk and time
- B.S. or higher in Engineering
- 10 years engineering experience in petrochemicals or LNG.
- 3 years working directly in or leading a Management of Change process
- Willingness to travel, domestically & internationally, as needed (approximately 5%)
- Advanced skills in the following areas:
- Management of Change process
- Operational risk management, as applicable to management of change
- Intermediate skills in the following areas:
- Audit and assurance of business processes
- Continuous improvement
- Technical assurance
- Knowledge of:
- Design of petrochemical or LNG processes and equipment
- Basis of design and design concepts
- Process safety in design
Job Site Work Environment
· Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
· Operates in a complex construction environment.
· Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
· Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
· Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
· Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
· Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
