The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity.
This is an entry level Student Co-Op position at Nexteer Automotive. Student will be expected to maintain administrative support for Manufacturing Department. Student will have the opportunity to gain skills in administrative support, multi-tasking and business related functions. Student will work with employees and upper level management to ensure completion and accuracy of a variety of tasks.
Job Description:
Student duties include but are not limited to:
- General clerical work for staffs
- Computer and phone requests
- Creating excel spreadsheets and documents
- Group coordination
- Events, lunches and meetings
- Time keeping
- Ordering office supplies
- Tracking purchase orders
- Various administrative tasks, as the job allows and requires
- Training offered for more advanced tasks
- On occasion, Student will be asked to run engineering tests and obtain data.
Job duties may vary dependent on Student’s unique skills and abilities.
Special Skills Requirements:
- Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint.
- Good communications skills, oral and written.
- Organizational Skills.
Job Requirements:
- Must be attending Delta College full time
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Business
- Must be enrolled in the ACE Co-Op program
- Must have the ability to work 20-28 hours per week
- Flexible work schedules
- Must have a 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale
