The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. Job Desccription:
Nexteer Desktop User Support & Training
- Responsible for end user support & training for PC software applications
- Collaboration Apps – Email, Calendar, Docs, Sites, Skype, Chrome, etc
- Microsoft Office tools
- Mobile Device & Applications
- Responsible for requesting New User Accounts, hardware, and Creating RTS/Service Anywhere profiles
- Submit New User information to HP for account creation
- Assign correct PC hardware based on position requirements from Dept. Manager
- Assist with New User Orientation process and delivery of PCs at orientation.
- Provide “New User” training
- Assist with updating basic curriculum as required to provide new employees, contractors and interns the fundamentals of the Nexteer tools (login ID, email, Calendar, Mobile, etc)
- Provide opportunities to schedule additional training
- Maintain the internal IT website
- Support the organization in the use of collaboration tools
- Conference room equipment (Audio / Video)
- Video conference tools
Job Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
- Must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Studying at U of M Flint or SVSU as a full-time student (12 credit hours or more)
- Must have the ability to work 20-28 hours per week during the school year
