Job Description: Inbuilding Construction Manager
Position Overview
The Inbuilding Construction Manager will oversee large venue projects, requiring some travel. This role is accountable for managing Civil Works and associated financial controls, including scheduling, service provider (SP/ASP) management, and quality assurance. The manager ensures compliance with company standards, federal and local regulations, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. The position interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Assess and control charges related to site design.
- Ensure adherence to Civil Works guidelines, schedules, and customer-approved materials.
- Coordinate site activities to align all disciplines with project goals and objectives.
- Drive schedule activities and resolve troubleshooting issues.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct site pre-inspections, post-construction audits, and visual inspections for quality assurance.
- Verify workmanship quality meets Company standards, contract requirements, and customer expectations.
- Reject incorrect material deliveries and report poor performance or quality issues.
Safety Compliance
- Maintain a safe working environment through regular safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with federal, local, and customer safety guidelines during the Civil Works phase.
Communication & Reporting
- Attend coordination and progress meetings.
- Prepare regular progress reports for project management.
- Provide accurate status updates on project progress.
Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance to Service Providers and suppliers involved in Civil Works activities.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with civil design plans.
Documentation & System Updates
- Maintain construction-specific areas of Site Handler:
- Scope of Work (SOW) documents
- Preconstruction documents (e.g., NTP, RFDS)
- Civils acceptance documents
- Daily progress verification
- Close-out document review
Leadership & Problem-Solving
- Lead teams with a focus on quality results.
- Identify and solve complex problems by adapting existing procedures and methods.
Experience/Qualification Level
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing project builds involving over 200 sites.
- Strong knowledge of Civil Works processes.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work independently while actively contributing to improvements.
- Proficient in team leadership with an emphasis on achieving quality results.
