Network Engineer - III - Bedminster, NJ- Remote
The Network Engineer III role involves in supporting Core Network Engineering and Implementation team. This position focuses on building, deploying, and troubleshooting the next-generation eNSE platform, which leverages virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN) . Responsibilities include technical engineering, deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of network infrastructure across U.S. data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design and Implementation :
- Write detailed Layer 1 equipment installation and fiber testing Method of Procedures (MOPs).
- Engineer configurations for routers and switches using templates and MOPs.
- Deploy, troubleshoot, and test newly installed network devices.
- Virtualization and SDN Support : Engineer solutions for SAP ENSE Fabric, ISP, NNI, and 5G connectivity.
- Support Verizon’s strategic goals, including the VXLAN to eNSE transition.
- Work with underlay / overlay controllers for network creation, modeling, and deployment.
- Collaboration and Mentorship : Partner with local teams across the U.S. for deployment and issue resolution.
- Mentor new team members in all aspects of the role.
- Collaborate with Capacity Planning, Design, and Operations teams to meet strategic goals.
- Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Handle issues related to OBM (Out of Band Management), Ethernet, and fiber cabling.
- Perform network migration and ensure KPI compliance.
