Position Summary
The Director of People Services (PSD) serves as a strategic partner to the Facility CEO and leadership team, leading the development and implementation of people services initiatives. The PSD oversees employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, training, leadership development, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is critical for fostering a supportive workplace culture and driving organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute people services strategies across recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
- Manage departmental operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA).
- Lead a team of People Services professionals, promoting professional growth and operational excellence.
- Analyze complex organizational situations, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor budgets and analyze compensation and benefits data for informed decision-making.
- Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws and regulatory standards, including CMS and TJC.
- Master s degree (preferred).
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources (HR) experience, with a focus on Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, and Compensation Management (preferably in healthcare).
- Supervisory experience overseeing HR roles (preferred).
- Recent union experience (required).
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Quantitative skills to develop budgets and analyze compensation/benefits data.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in HRIS systems and data management.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, CMS, and OSHA regulatory compliance.
