Position Overview
Nextlink is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of our HR and recruiting functions across multiple states. This role is based at our headquarters in Hudson Oaks, Texas, and will oversee HR operations—including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, training, and talent development—across all regions where we operate.
With limited oversight, this leader will serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership and play a critical role in shaping and executing people strategies that align with our fast-paced, multi-location environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Human Resources and Recruiting functions across all states, from the HQ location in Hudson Oaks.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Drive full-cycle recruitment strategy for field and office roles, ensuring consistent talent acquisition processes and workforce planning.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and monitor accurate records for employee data, performance reviews, compensation, benefits, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
- Influence local and regional leadership on HR best practices and serve as a key voice in personnel decisions.
- Partner with leadership to implement succession planning and talent management strategies.
- Lead training and development initiatives—including onboarding, management coaching, and compliance training.
- Conduct and resolve employee relations issues and internal investigations.
- Regularly assess and improve HR processes, tools, and systems for scalability and efficiency.
- Oversee and mentor HR and administrative support staff as needed.
- Serve as a champion of company culture, employee engagement, and organizational growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a Sr. leadership role.
- Proven experience managing HR functions for both field and office personnel across multiple regions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of HRIS systems, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Work Environment
- Onsite at our Hudson Oaks headquarters.
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
