Nextworld builds a forward-thinking, no-code, cloud-based development and runtime platform with robust capabilities for enterprise applications.
The FP&A Analyst will support financial planning and analysis activities, including playing a key role in the monthly close review and analyzing actuals versus budget. Will be responsible for financial modeling, collaboration with accounting team members on monthly close reviews, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
Requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with 50% of the time estimated to be spent working in Excel models and analysis, while the other 50% is estimated to be spent within Nextworld / FastClose (corporate financial reporting tool), extracting, validating, and analyzing financial data.
The FP&A Analyst will report directly to the Senior Director, Finance & Accounting, with day-to-day work directed by the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s financial models, including monthly and annual updates for actuals and forecasts
- Support the monthly reforecast process, collaborating with budget center owners to update financial projections
- Prepare variance analyses comparing actual performance to forecasts and budgets, with resulting research as to the cause for the variance
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to assist with review of actuals versus budget, ensuring proper categorization of expenses and vendor costs per the annual budget
- Develop a strong working knowledge of Nextworld’s general ledger allocations for P&L presentation purposes (COGS, Opex)
- Assist in the annual company-wide budgeting process
- Collaborate with application development team to create and improve finance and accounting apps in Nextworld
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Finance & Accounting and the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to enhance financial processes and reporting
- Participate in special projects, including finance system enhancements, automation efforts, and process improvements related to financial allocations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 2 - 3 years’ FP&A experience, financial analysis, or corporate finance
- Exposure to GAAP accounting principles and concepts
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Experience working within enterprise software systems and databases a plus
- Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and allocation processes is beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with teams
- Ability to collaborate with Accounting team members to ensure financial accuracy in vendor and invoice reporting versus budget
