Accountabilities
- Establish and implement a strategic vision for document and data management, ensuring alignment with Nexus’ overall objectives
- Ensure that document and data management practices enhance project delivery and support internal productivity and quality initiatives
- Identify and implement software and data management solutions that support the strategic vision and drive continuous improvement
- Build and develop a competent project team focused on data coordination, systems support, and the continuous enhancement of document and data management processes
- The role is accountable for ensuring continuous alignment of tools and systems with industry best practices and standards
- Vision and Strategy:
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive vision for document and data management that aligns with Nexus' strategic goals
- Collaborate with the Project Services Director and other Nexus leaders to integrate this vision into broader strategic initiatives
- Project Delivery:
- Create and maintain the Project Information Management Plan, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision
- Lead or participate in working groups to identify and implement initiatives that enhance project delivery through improved document and data management
- Implement and enforce common standards and work practices that facilitate multi-office project execution and data management
- Acquisition & Deployment of Tools and Software Improvements:
- Lead the evaluation, acquisition, and implementation of new or upgraded tools and software that align with the strategic vision for document and data management
- Ensure that all tools and software deployed are integrated with the overall project delivery strategy and provide necessary training to project teams
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives aimed at continuously improving document and data management systems, ensuring they remain aligned with industry best practices and Nexus’ evolving needs
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of training, education, and experience in Information Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience in setting and implementing strategic visions for document and data management, preferably within the Engineering/Construction industries
- Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency
- Strong project management skills, with extensive knowledge of data management practices and their impact on project success
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
