What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Supervisor position at Nexus Family Healing?
Nexus Family Healing has an exciting opportunity for an Admissions Supervisor to support our Minnesota-based agencies: Nexus-Kindred, Nexus-Aspen House, Nexus-FACTS and Nexus-SERCC! This position helps ensure the appropriate and timely admission of clients into our treatment programs, meeting or exceeding budgeted census projections and supervising the provision of services to clients in keeping with the agency’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a referral development plan that ensures a steady flow of appropriate clients into each agency/program
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources
- Facilitate on-site visits for referral and placing agencies
- Confer with clinical/admissions team regarding status of current clients and future vacancies
- Schedule and participate in interviews of prospective clients to assess amenability to treatment, suitability of placement and probability of success
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date agency contact list, attend workshops, conferences, and conventions to promote the agencies services, and ensure appropriate supplies of accurate promotional and informational materials are maintained at all times for the purpose of promoting the agencies
- Contribute articles, announcements and accompanying photographs to the Communications Department for SharePoint and other various Nexus publications
- Attend training, both internally and through external sources, to remain up to date on assessment/interview techniques and clinical standards of practice and remain compliant with all licensing requirements
- Ensure fiscally responsible management of agency assets by authorizing all departmental expenditures per company/agency policy; participate in the annual establishment of the Admissions portion of the Administration Department’s budget as required or requested
- Attend staff meetings and required training sessions
- Ensure the confidentiality of all resident background and treatment issues in compliance with all company, COA and HIPAA regulations
Schedule/location/pay:
- Must be based in Minnesota to be considered
- Remote work with frequent travel across Minnesota
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Regular Monday through Friday schedule, must be flexible
- Yearly salary range 55k-62k per year

Required Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field required, Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working within a residential treatment environment with at least 2 years’ experience in admissions required.
- Must demonstrate significant skills in the operation of Microsoft business software programs and database management systems.
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience
