Overview
As a Civil Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of construction projects, from planning to completion. You'll lead project teams, manage budgets, and ensure client satisfaction, all while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead project teams and collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement project strategies, manage subcontract negotiations, and handle material procurement.
- Financial Oversight: Control project costs, manage budgets, approve invoices, and drive profitability.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing needs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance & Problem Solving: Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in construction project management or civil engineering (preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills: Strong project coordination, budgeting, and leadership abilities. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to make critical decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction industry regulations and best practices. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
