Overview
We are seeking a visionary leader to drive the next generation of space systems satellite programs. Our Space Systems division is looking for a Supply Chain Program Manager for the ISR Space business to lead and execute responsive space programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain program management for Space and Airborne Systems, collaborating closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to ensure execution aligns with commodity strategies, optimizes the supply base, and achieves the lowest total acquisition cost for a key program.
- Utilize hands-on, cross-functional strategies to identify challenges and implement improvements. You should possess the passion and expertise to drive best-in-class supply chain processes and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with functional and program leaders to monitor and coordinate all program deliverables, identifying key risks and devising mitigation plans. Provide regular updates on program status, including the identification and mitigation of long-term supply chain risks.
- Manage the flow of critical milestones and project requirements, analyzing supplier capacity and capability. Ensure suppliers can deliver parts while adjusting material flow for optimal line fill and inventory management.
- Offer technical support for DFx (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test attributes), reviewing engineering changes and assessing their impact on materials and supply chains.
- Engage in continuous process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of product development and supply chain operations.
- Build and manage supplier relationships to meet program and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their support and execution of deliverables while maintaining performance standards.
- Interface with a diverse team of engineering, supply chain, and supplier colleagues to drive success.
- Coordinate with program managers across various stakeholder programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor customized supply chain management metrics for space programs.
- Foster high-level relationship management and establish yourself as a recognized thought leader and trusted partner.
- Understand customer mission gaps, constraints, and objectives thoroughly.
- Communicate the company's technical and programmatic value proposition effectively.
- Drive long-term business strategy while upholding high ethical standards and the company's Code of Conduct.
Requirements
- Mastery-level knowledge in a specific technical area or multiple job functions, recognized as an expert by peers within and outside the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills:
- Secret clearance preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with contract types such as FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, and Cost Reimbursement (including fixed-fee, incentive fee, or award fee).
- Previous experience as a Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts, managing budgets and sales forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to supplier facilities, primarily within the domestic locations.
