Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Territory Sales Manager to drive sales and cultivate strong customer relationships within your designated territory. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets while ensuring customer satisfaction and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets across various product lines.
- Allocate approximately 40% of your time to outbound prospecting, 30% to converting inbound inquiries, and the remaining time to account development and customer visits.
- Identify and prioritize potential customers, industries, and market segments for business development.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline, actively working to convert leads into successful sales.
- Pursue a high volume of top project and transactional opportunities while providing turnkey space solutions and value-added products.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and outstanding customer service.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations while addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with customers to create customized solutions that meet their specific container and modular structure requirements.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to track performance and manage customer interactions effectively.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities within your territory.
- Conduct market research and analysis to uncover potential growth opportunities and areas for differentiation.
- Share insights and customer feedback with the management team to inform strategic decisions.
Quoting and Pricing:
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to maximize pricing and monthly lease rates when appropriate.
- Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes for prospective customers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM software.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity for management review.
- Meet daily and weekly expectations related to key performance indicators to achieve trifecta goals.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues as needed to achieve collective sales objectives.
Qualifications:
Skills and Certifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of outbound prospecting experience or 1 year of experience at WSMM.
- Willingness and ability to travel 10%-20% for important customer field visits.
- Demonstrated professional communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and virtual meeting platforms.
