What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Bookkeeper/Receptionist position at Nexus Real Estate, Inc?
Active Association Management company looking for a reliable full-time receptionist/bookkeeper with practical knowledge of online accounting software or equivalent and standard accounting/bookkeeping practices to handle bookkeeping services for Homeowners/Condominium Associations, filing and answering the phone. The candidate who is chosen will be handling the bookkeeping for multiple associations on a daily basis. Candidate must be able to easily multi-task between different companies and answer questions for owners and title companies.
Must present a professional and friendly demeanor to all customers. Small office, locally owned and operated for over 20 years. Bookkeeping experience required includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, making adjustments to the general journal as advised by accountant. Updating association manager on cash flow and expenses.
Applicant must have:
Good understanding of bookkeeping practices
Experience with Accounting software required. Enumerate/Central Online Preferred, Quick Books, Sage, Word, Excel Spreadsheets.
2 years recent bookkeeping experience
Office hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to 2pm on Fridays.
Paid holidays, New Years Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving and the Friday After, Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July
Applicant must have excellent time management skills, be able to multi-task and interact with the public in a professional manner both in person and on the phone.
Post payments and prepare daily deposits
Post accounts payable invoices and process checks for all vendors
Process monthly customer/owner statements and follow current collections procedures
Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned properties
Provide monthly or quarterly financial reports to accountant’s office for review
Process Journal Entries after accountant’s review is complete
Provide clerical and bookkeeping support for Head Bookkeeper and property manager as needed
Process Estoppel Requests
Provide in person, customer support to walk in clients as needed.
