Description :
The Director of Revenue Accounting for IDR Division will be responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting for the IDR Division. This position will lead all day-to-day revenue operations for the Division with functional responsibility over accounts receivable and deposit accounting for the IDR Program. The Director, Revenue Accounting – IDR Division will ensure that systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits. The Director, Revenue Accounting – IDR Division will work closely with program leaders and their staff, not only to educate them regarding revenue-based procedures, but also to explore how the revenue function can support IDR program operations.
Requirements :
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and develop a team of revenue account team members, assigning tasks, providing guidance and coaching team on technical processes.
- Oversee and guides financial revenue processes by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Oversee and develop the preparation of accurate and timely revenue-related financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual IDR revenue reporting
- Oversee accounts receivable collection processes, including collections and customer account reconciliations
- Oversee high-volume daily customer invoicing and monthly statements processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing
- Expert knowledge of deposit accounting involving receiving and recording customer deposits, including checks, credit cards and electronic transfers
- Identify and implement improvements to revenue accounting processes, systems and controls to streamline operations and minimize errors
- Partner with operations to resolve billing discrepancies, address party inquiries and ensure proper revenue accounting and reporting
- Strong error resolution skills in identifying and investigating discrepancies in deposit transactions
- Maintain robust internal controls over revenue recognition to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits, providing information to external auditors.
- Provides status of financial condition to VP, IDR Services with dotted line to CFO by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Generating reports on deposit activity, including volume, trends and party details
- Analyze revenue trends, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insightful reports to senior management regarding revenue performance.
- Heavy business analyst skill set to work with operational team assisting in revenue analysis.
- Knowledgeable of each workflow function with ability to fill in when a team member is out.
- Maintains successful revenue team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains successful revenue team job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Position Demands :
This position requires sitting, bending, stooping for up to 8 hours per day in an office setting. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Must have excellent communication skills – both orally and written. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with guests, employees, and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information.
