This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility 2-3 days a week.
Summary: This is a full-time position for the summer months, working with NFP’s Chief Investment Officer and other members of the national investment committee. The intern will build relationships with the investment management company contacts and other internal and external resources. The position requires day to day work on investment research, analysis, verbal communication with advisors in the field as well as electronic and other written communications. The intern will be responsible to complete a project at the direction of their supervisor and present their findings at the end of the program.
This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility a few days a week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The base hourly range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00. The base pay rate offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base pay, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist investment team with data gathering and tracking on retirement income products
- Establish an understanding of capital markets and asset allocation building blocks
- Aid with investment quarterly updates and projects
- Eagerness to learn about retirement investments and provide input where needed
- Support investment team for on-going and proactive due diligence on investment managers
- Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and verbal communications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to communicate and interface effectively with Investment professionals, Executive Staff, and Human Resources professionals
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize
- Inquisitive by nature
- Pursuing degree in Business, Economics or Finance (preferred)
- Rising senior of a four-year university preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience in college, community, internship, or co-op experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Interest in Investment Advisor and/or Financial Services Industry
