Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of our organization. This position is responsible for managing the flow of goods into and out of the warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and manage stock accurately.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to order specifications.
- Load and unload trucks using reach trucks or forklifts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments received, and orders processed using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with e-commerce teams to ensure timely fulfillment of online orders.
- Organize the warehouse space efficiently to optimize workflow and accessibility of stock.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
Skills
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes with a solid understanding of warehouse operations.
- Experience with RF scanners for tracking inventory is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with order picking techniques and packing standards.
- Ability to operate reach trucks safely and efficiently for loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate stock records.
- Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management software is a plus.
- Experience in e-commerce fulfillment processes is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
