Paralegal

Responsibilities:
* Open new files and follow up on assignments and Power of Attorney documents for US, PCT, and foreign patent applications.
* Update IP charts for US, PCT, and foreign patent applications
Prepare and maintain IP docket and admin support for US, PCT, and foreign patent applications.
* Be responsible for deadlines and filing for US, PCT, and foreign patent applications.
* Coordinate filings of formal documents, including oaths/declarations, powers of attorney forms, assignments, information disclosure statements, and formal drawings, and patent applications with the US Patent Trademark Office (USPTO).
* Communicate with the USPTO and foreign associates.
* Answer phone calls.
* Research and maintain working knowledge of US and foreign patent prosecution rules and procedures; navigate and utilize a plethora of patent-related websites and databases.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Bachelor’s Degree, required.
● Minimum 2 years of prior patent experience preferred.
● Exceptional attention to details with accuracy skills.
● Ability to prioritize, organize, and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent written and oral communication skills.
● Outstanding customer service, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and proactively, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills in a team atmosphere with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
● Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong judgment, initiative, integrity, and be a dependable, highly motivated team player.
● Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Business Suite.
