Overview
Property Management and Maintenance position -
Looking for individual (s) with experience in property management and property maintenance. This position may be suited best for two different individuals or a couple, - one for management and one for maintenance.
- Total time required is typically 15-30 hours per week.
- Management Experience: Requires working with existing and future tenants, working with software, tracking rents, executing approved contracts. Organizing and managing repairs and schedules for new tenants. Communicating with owners or off-site managers etc. Training provided. Prior experience very helpful.
- Maintenance experience: All Interior and exterior maintenance and repairs for apartment complex.
Duties
Management:
Ability to work amicably and accurately in all aspects of managing apartments:
- Work with online software and tenants to ensure property in managed efficiently and according to Utah Housing Laws.
- Must communicate directly with tenants
- Must be willing to physically participate in the change-over of apartments in both the management, cleaning and preparation of units.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with experience working professionally with prospective and current apartment tenants.
Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Perform installation of new equipment when needed.
- Perform remodel and improvement work when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities online
- Collaborate with all individuals necessary to complete operations quickly and effectively, coordinating maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to operations.
- MUST adhere common industry safety and professional management and maintenance standards.
- Leadership skills with experience supervising individuals and projects.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Perform installation of new equipment when needed.
- Perform remodel and improvement work when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning and maintenance activities as instructed.
- MUST adhere to basic safety requirements and know-how in order to maintain a safe and clean work setting during execution of duties.
- MUST have good organizational skills to track/ order parts inventory, and supplies, and coordinate with trade professionals when needed.
Skills/Achievements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with experience working in mechanical and construction trades.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Leadership skills with experience coordinating with companies that provide professional services.
- Competence in using diagnostic tools, doing apartment repairs and maintenance of all kinds, including replacing hot water heater, furnaces, and appliances.
- Must have prior experience in all phases of repair, maintenance, and renewal of apartments. Must be available to assist in cleaning when necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Drug screening required.
- Leadership skills with experience supervising individuals and projects.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
