Clinical Specialist II, Child Advocacy Center of Niagara
NATURE AND SCOPE: Provide trauma-specific counseling to children affected by trauma including physical abuse, sexual abuse, and family violence. Assess trauma symptomology, mental health functioning, develop and implement of a plan of care to meet identified needs. Participate on multidisciplinary child abuse team to provide expertise on behavioral health aspects of child abuse and maltreatment issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid license to practice in the Mental Health Professions in the state of New York through the State Education Department Office of Professions. Two years' experience assessing and treating youth. Applicants with provisional licensure status will be considered.
Requirements: This is a grant-funded position with a small case load that does not require clinician to diagnose, bill or meet units of service. Must be available one evening a week (Monday 11a- 7 pm) at the Niagara Falls location. The Clinical Specialist II will work 2 days per week in Niagara Falls and 3 days per week in the Lockport office.
