What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director- Child Advocacy Center of Niagara position at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center?
NATURE AND SCOPE: The Program Coordinator is a middle manager position that shall provide support services to children and family members; assist the Program’s multidisciplinary team; coordinate and monitor case progress; oversee 2 direct services staff and the day-to-day operations of the Program. This position plays a key role in developing collaborative relationships internally and with external multidisciplinary team members as well as collaborating with organizations at the local level. It is expected that this individual will have or will develop advanced content expertise in the area of child trauma & will demonstrate the ability to communicate that expertise across multiple platforms and agencies.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field.
- Five years' experience providing social work or case management services in a community setting. Preference is given to those whose experience includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain strong, positive relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail to complete and review forms, reports, and other written materials.
- Demonstrate strong and creative problem-solving skills, ability to think critically, and guide others in doing so.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and the implementation of trauma-informed principles.
Candidates should have a keen interest in child welfare and victim advocacy. Must be able to work under pressure. Candidates should be highly organized, able to prioritize effectively, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
