What are the responsibilities and job description for the CREDIT BEARING COMMUNICATIONS & SPECIAL EVENTS INTERNSHIP position at Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority?
WORK OBJECTIVE
Student intern(s) will join our strategic communications team and assist with a variety of projects in support of the NFTA's public relations strategy. Associated tasks will include planning and executing special events, promotions, and community outreach; creating communication and media plans and releases; market research; and other content development and communications projects. Knowledge of MS Office required. Familiarity with photo revision software is helpful.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and actively pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field. A high level of organization, attention to detail and self-motivation is necessary. This internship may require some set-up/lifting or off-site work.
NOTE
This is for the Summer of 2024. • The internship runs from the middle of May through middle of August. • Compensation: academic credit hours. The chosen candidate(s) must be available to work in-office 16-24 hours on workdays: TBD (no weekends) • Office Location: NFTA Headquarters, Metropolitan Transportation Center, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo
