Job Title: Non-Ferrous Material Processor
Location: Niagara Metals – Cheektowaga area
Reports To: Non-Ferrous Supervisor / Yard Manager
Job Summary:
The Non-Ferrous Material Processor is responsible for sorting, grading, and preparing non-ferrous metals for shipment or further processing. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring materials are handled accurately and efficiently. Work is physical and may involve indoor and outdoor tasks in varying conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort and identify non-ferrous materials by type and grade.
- Use tools such as saws, shears, and torches as needed for material prep.
- Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scales.
- Package, palletize, and label materials for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and processing areas.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Communicate with team members to complete daily tasks.
Requirements:
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and metal materials.
- Willing to learn grading and processing techniques for non-ferrous metals.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification can be provided.
- Reliable attendance and ability to follow instructions.
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to handle changing tasks.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.50 - $20.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
