Job Title: Scale Operator
Location: Niagara Metals – Buffalo Area
Reports To: Yard Manager / Operations Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Scale Operator is responsible for weighing inbound and outbound materials and recording data accurately. This position is also customer facing and requires exceptional customer service skills. This role supports daily operations by ensuring proper documentation and material flow. The position requires working with other departments to maintain efficiency and accuracy in the yard.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate scale systems to weigh materials.
- Perform exceptional customer service.
- Record weight, material type, and customer or job details in the inventory system.
- Issue scale tickets and label materials as needed.
- Communicate with team members to ensure accurate customer flow.
- Follow company procedures and safety guidelines.
Requirements:

- Basic understanding of inventory systems and material flow.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Pay: $20.50 - $20.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
