FLSA: Non-Exempt Hourly: Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Niagara Transformer Corporation is a leading U.S. supplier of custom medium voltage oil filled transformers and other power generation equipment, systems and services to utilities and industrial markets in the U.S. and overseas.
We are actively seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team.
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship or relocation is offered for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Payable Invoice entry
2. Accounts Payable Payment entry
3. Assist / backup with payroll entry
4. Accounts Receivable Payment entry
5. Assist with prepping month-end journal entries
6. Assist with reporting to parent company
7. Assist with fixed asset management
8. Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education –Bachelor in accounting
Experience:
· Up to 2 years in similar position preferred, but not required
· Experience with a publicly traded company / SOX compliance a plus
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel
· Experience with Onestream, Oracle, JD Edwards software a plus
· Experience with Percentage-of-Completion accounting a plus
Skill set:
· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and effectively interact with other accounting and non-accounting departments
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Compensation details: 55000-65000 Yearly Salary
