What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Music Instructor - American Popular Music position at niagaracc-suny?
SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time Music Instructor for our American Popular Music course.This course is taught in person in a classroom setting on our Sanborn, NY campus. This music course is a survey of American popular music from its roots to the present day. It will trace the acculturation process to the creation of Jazz and Rock n’ Roll to present day popular music forms. It investigates American music as it relates to cultural and social as well as discussing music in terms of structure and artistic value. The ability to read music notation is not a necessity. The course is required of music majors and recommended for the non-music major or students without previous music experience.Remuneration for this position is: $915 per lecture hour/$819 per lab hour.In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis.
