SALARY RANGE: $70 TO $87K ANNUALLY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Partner with suppliers to improve their technical capabilities to reduce product costs while maintaining quality integrity.
- Work closely with the purchasing group and their supply base.
- Supplier PPAP review and approval.
- Obtain Problem resolution and improvement processes with external suppliers using Kaizen activities, 8D, and other corrective actions methods.
- Track Vendor non-conformities and their incurred costs.
- Initiate Supplier chargebacks and follow up.
- Assist in management and implementation of quality system policies, procedures and instructions throughout the organization.
- Conduct internal audits for compliance with quality systems.
- Facilitate education and training of employees in quality systems and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Spearhead customer communication in quality conformance issues.
- Identifies and evaluates suppliers as needed to supply components and materials to manufacturing facilities.
- Perform verifications and adjustments to Process documentation and practices (e.g. DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instruction, etc.).
- Extend some services for directed source components and materials at company’s Tier 2 locations.
- While the home facility will be in Gallatin, the candidate must be able to travel (15%-30% travel) to other NIC sites on a regular basis to implement common project goals and establish consistency at all locations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
- 2 years of experience in supplier quality management or related fields is desired but not required.
- Six Sigma Green Education highly desired but not required.
- Familiar with all quality tools (i.e. Process Flow Diagram, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, APQP, SPC) desired.
- CAD/SolidWorks experience is not required but would be a great addition.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 systems.
- Ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and internal management with a high level of effectiveness.
