The Outbound Team Lead will provide support and leadership in the warehouse, leading small or large teams to successfully process outbound shipments, communicating with internal/external customers, vendors and employees. In general, Outbound Team Lead performs a variety of administrative tasks, including answering the phones and emails, data entry, keeping accurate files, etc. This role assists with unloading and loading trucks and assisting with urgent deliveries/ shipments when necessary.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely operate warehouse tools, such as forklift and pallet jack, to assist with efficient warehouse operations
- Able to perform all jobs within work area and train, assess and coach team members; Transfer and assign work within designated work area and relieve and replace team members as required
- Collaborates with Customer Service and Stakeholders to identify and resolve customer complaints
- Resolve VOC complaints and research to determine route cause for DC failures
- Provides updates to Operational Leaders from feedback received from customers
- Coordinates the movement of material in and out of warehouse upon direction of customer orders
- Performs routine data input related to warehouse inbound moves
- Responsible for creating pick sheet as determined by the customer and distributes them to the warehouse personnel for picking
- Creates bill of ladings and other shipping documentation
- Must enter all pertinent information into the proper warehouse management software systems. Enters all inbound customer product and identifies any shortages, overages, etc
- Completes daily operations reports
- Extensive communications with customers, warehouse associates, drivers and transportation personnel
- Computer files and hard document storage must be filed in a manner that facilitates easy retrieval for audit purposes
- Addresses customer needs which may include complex questions, resolving issues, and educating team members
- Records details of inquiries, comments or complaints, transactions/interactions and takes action in accordance to it. Escalates unresolved and pending customer grievances
- Decisions are routinely made regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals
- Process and label product as needed
- Upload serialized product into SCALE database
- Coordinate deliveries to/from Value Added Services
- Point of Contact for resolving inventory discrepancies
- Use Cubicscan to capture product dimensions
- Uploads pictures of products into SCALE database
- Understand, support and execute all work in a safe manner using the established procedures, methods and safe working requirements
- Implements and maintains department policies and standards
- Must be able to support picking and packing
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A BA/BS degree in Logistics or related discipline or equivalent experience required
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a distribution center environment
- Previous experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) technology
- Forklift Certification required
- Experience using Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)

- Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
- Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands
- Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, goals and objectives for self and staff (if applicable)
- Ability to effectively & professionally communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors
