What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Buyer/Inventory Control position at Nichiha USA, Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions
- Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels
- Work closely with production, purchasing, and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and identify discrepancies
- Prepare inventory reports and analysis, including inventory turnover, stock-out rates, and obsolete inventory level
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Work closely with Procurement Coordinators and the Receiving Teams
- Issue POs for approved Requisitions as needed to support Purchasing Coordinators
- Work with vendors\suppliers on competitive quotes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all inventory-related regulatory requirements and standards
- Collaborate with Storeroom Supervisor to ensure receipts and inventory accuracy.
- Set up new storeroom items in IFS systems
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field- - Preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in, purchasing, inventory management, procurement or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with inventory management software and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to inventory management, such as SOX, preferred.
