What we are:

Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) are child-focused, community-based programs that provide coordination between law enforcement, child protection services, prosecuting attorneys, and other professionals responsible for responding to child maltreatment. CACs benefit the community by supporting thorough investigation of allegations of abuse and neglect, reducing trauma, empowering non-offending parents and caregivers to support and protect their children, and more. Our mission is to advocate for abuse prevention, and the safety, well-being, and healing of children who have experienced abuse. Our services include forensic interviews, child and family advocacy, referrals for services, and community outreach and education.

Responsibilities of position:

· Schedule and conduct Forensic Interviews for Nicholas and Webster Counties.

· Maintain records for cases opened at our CAC; complete appropriate statistical and case tracking.

· Organize and lead two (2) monthly Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) meetings.

· Maintain compliance with ongoing training and education requirements for self and for the MDIT.

· Provide courtroom testimony when required.

· Support strong working relationships with MDIT members.

· Ensure protocols and MOUs are up to date and signed by authorized heads of agencies.

· Responsible for applying and passing reaccreditation for the center every five years.

· Conduct outreach education when requested.

· Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
