JOB SUMMARY:
The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications will report to the Director of Communications. Responsibilities will include all aspects of contest coverage, website information, game notes, statistics, and media relations. Candidates would need to apply to the Nichols College Graduate Program. This position includes a stipend.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Candidates shall have a genuine understanding and commitment in the development and management of a comprehensive NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division III athletics program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Must be able to work with deadlines
- Computer proficiency/ web site design/ maintenance
- Knowledge of live stats software’s
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Set up, maintain, and operate athletic streaming equipment
- Familiarity with Side Arm website service
PHYSICAL JOB COMPONENTS:
Able to use office and telecommunication equipment
Some traveling to be expected, valid driver’s license and good driving record
Ability to communicate in writing and orally
Ability to be proactive, and creative
Weekend and evening hours
