Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the movement of materials being delivered, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a proactive approach to handling inventory, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials safely throughout the yard.
- Assist in the receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Experience with order picking and shipping/receiving processes will be beneficial.
