We are seeking an accomplished Pediatric Emergency Medicine Director to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pediatric emergency department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services. Responsibilities:
- Serve as Medical Director for the Baptist Homestead Campus Emergency Department
- Provide professional medical services as a member of the pediatric emergency department
- Lead the management of the Hospital's Pediatric Emergency Department and work with Hospital personnel to develop protocols to improve patient care and maintain performance standards
- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities to improve services provided so that patients and referring physicians have outstanding service experience
- Assist where appropriate in the preparation of the budget
- Prepare and annual reviews of protocols, policies, and procedures in areas of direct clinical responsibility and make recommendations for change as necessary
- Investigate all patient and physician complaints related to the department
- Work collaboratively with Medical Group and facility credentialing office to process credentialing materials relating to Physicians for health insurers, state and federal agencies, and other health organizations
- Build patient-base through networking, emergency room coverage, community education, and other marketing activities according to group policies and procedures
- Teach Hospital's residents and fellows in accordance with requirements of Hospital's medical education program and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
- Work with Hospital on medical quality management and performance improvement initiatives and assure that department physicians assist and cooperate in medical quality management function at Hospital and participate in medical management initiatives including but not limited to patient-family centered care initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy from accredited medical school (Required)
- Current state medical license and in good standing with medical board
- CPR - American Heart Association BLS - Maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
