We are seeking full-time fellowship-trained pediatric emergency medicine specialists and general pediatricians with extensive pediatric emergency experience to work in one of two locations within Baptist Health South Florida at Baptist Hospital in Miami and Homestead Hospital, located in the City of Homestead in southern Miami-Dade County.
Multiple opportunities are available including leadership, committee involvement and performance improvement.
The Pediatric Emergency Department at Baptist Hospital had approximately 13,000 visits in 2022, while the Homestead Pediatric Emergency Department had roughly 19,000 visits.
Shifts at both locations are 12-hour days / overnights with mid-shifts (8 to 10 hours) every day.
The group is comprised of both board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and general pediatricians with extensive pediatric emergency experience.
Homestead Hospital also has scheduled APP coverage on its busiest days.
Pediatric emergency physicians employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System, provide coverage at Baptist Hospital and Homestead Hospital Pediatric Emergency Departments.
The doctors in those two emergency departments transitioned in 2021 to employment by NCPS.
