Job Description

Seeking a Florida licensed Attorney Commercial Litigation Hybrid with 3 to 5 year's Litigation experience to join the team. Must be familiar with hourly billing and willing to enter time in billing software on a daily basis, communicate with clients, and attend hearings remotely or in person. This is an Of Counsel position, not full-time W2.

Working proactively and independently and also collaborating on overall strategy,
Legal research and analysis,
Communicating in writing and via phone with clients and opposing counsel,
Meeting deadlines and moving from case to case, sometimes urgently,
Civil procedure, state and federal, and
Working with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and using the internet for general research,

then this position is for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will handle a high caseload involving primarily commercial litigation quickly, professionally, and successfully. You must have the ability to :

draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda,

draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions,

assist with and participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances,

review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence,

save all work on client files in the designated client folders,

attend a weekly Zoom meeting prepared with file status and next steps for the matters you are working on, and

bill your time daily in the firm billing software and use your best efforts to satisfy or exceed the benchmark of 40 billed hours per month.
