Restaurant Bartender & Manager
The Restaurant Bar Manager is responsible for all responsibilities associated with running a bar as well as assisting in managing the front of house staff.
Essential Job Functions
- Stocking and setting up the bar before the start of the shift
- Ensuring the dining room and bar area is ready for service overseeing all opening procedures of the wait staff.
- Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude at all times when in customers' view.
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
- Create different weekly drink specials based on available liqueurs and garnishes.
- Ensure all patrons are of the legal drinking age if they are ordering alcoholic beverages.
- Breaking down the bar and cleaning associated equipment.
- Adhering to the necessary cleaning schedules
- Handle cash, credit, and debit cards transactions to ensure all charges are accurate and returning the correct change to patrons
- Assist with the development of new cocktail recipes.
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
- Overseeing closing duties of all front of house staff.
- Assisting in the management of all service staff members, ensuring that the proper steps of service are followed.
- Assist in managing the floor as needed.
- Complete any other tasks the general manager and upper management may assign

Job Specifications:
- Must be a High School graduate or completed GED
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Must have 3-5 years of bartending experience
- Must be able to maintain appropriate work pace, perform assigned tasks, and communicate orally.
- Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, exchange information between staff and clients, and distinguish between different foods and beverages.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
Hours:
Availability Monday, Wednesdays, and Saturdays required.
We are looking for someone who is interesting in taking part of leading and managing one of the classic Italian Restaurants in Albany.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
