What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Supervisor position at Niels Fugal Sons Company?
Overview :
The Safety person will be responsible for ensuring all work aspects are in line with established company and customer specifications. This will involve doing inspections of employees and subcontractors in the area.
Responsibilities :
- Train and conduct qualifications for equipment
- Conduct monthly safety meetings on assigned topics
- Monitor crews through visits to ensure they are following safety procedures and protocols
- Make sure employees are utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Counsel and review safety problems with employees and managers
- Help employees use and load safety programs on electronic devices, IE. Iphones, Ipads, Etc.
- Ensure that the Company Safety Program is followed on each jobsite they inspect and that there are no unsafe conditions or acts at each jobsite
- Ensure required OSHA and DOT paperwork are company approved and OSHA compliant.
- Some overnight travel may be required
- Conduct periodic safety inspections, gate checks and Job Safety Observations (JSO) at each jobsite visited
We are currently offering a $200 sign-on bonus if you, as the new employee, stays for 30 plus days
