Responsibilities
- The Body Shop Manager is responsible to develop business through insurance adjusters, customers and other sources to assure an adequate sales volume, provide a reasonable department operating profit and maintain customer satisfaction, while controlling expenses
- The Body Shop Manager directs the activities of Body Shop employees in performing body repairs, meeting time schedules and productivity levels and maintaining quality standards
- Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect Body Shop operations such as hazardous waste disposal, right-to-know and environmental updates
- Attend managers' meetings
- Strive for team-work with other departments
- Hold departmental meetings periodically to discuss problem areas
- Perform periodic reviews of employee performance
Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Experienced in Auto Body Repair Estimating
- Working knowledge of body repair methods
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent communication and managerial skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
