What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance - Facilities Maintenance Technician position at nifco?
Job Summary: Manages and coordinates the maintenance of all facilities and related equipment. Ensure overall cleanliness, maintenance, and order of facility.
Essential Functions:
Clean restrooms, empty waste and recycle receptacles, vacuum carpet and mop floors
Clean dirt and snow removal from sidewalks and spread ice melt
Change HVAC filters
Change lamps in lighting fixtures
Pick up supplies/ run errands
Move and set up furniture
Monthly fire extinguisher checks
Maintain facilities eye was stations
Distribute suppliers through out facilities
Paint and repair drywall
Perform facility repairs and complete work orders as needed daily
Landscaping if needed
Maintain grounds/property cleanliness
Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the Company
Other tasks as assigned by Management
Education:
High School diploma/GED with relative vocational training preferred
Skills/Experience/Requirements:
Good communication skills with Floor Associates; vendors; Managers
Must be able to read & write proficiently in English to understand manuals, directions, relative periodicals, etc. and communicate information in writing to associates, management, and vendors
Must be able to prioritize and effectively execute multiple projects
Elementary judgement ability to execute essential functions
Must be willing to be “on call” and report to work during off hours when needed
