SUMMARY
The Volunteer & Family Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations for our respite program. This position is responsible for pairing families with volunteers each month, resolving any last-minute changes, and assisting with family check-in and check-out. To secure volunteer sign-ups, outreach is conducted via email. Clear and timely communication with both families and volunteers is essential, ensuring that background checks and applications remain up to date. This role helps foster a positive and well-organized experience for both families and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of volunteer application and volunteer interview.
- Pass a legal background check.
- Completion of Night Lights leadership training and family and volunteer role training.
- Commitment to the philosophy of Night Lights.
- Willingness to be teachable and work as a team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 18-years of age or older.
- Experience in volunteer coordination or similar roles preferred.
- Experience in using SharePoint, email communication, and spreadsheet management is an asset.
