Job Overview:

Summary/Objective

The Aftermarket Proposal Specialist will support the back-office functionality of the Aftermarket Sales Team, working in close coordination with Aftermarket Sales, Field Service, and Operations to manage the following functions:


  • LNG and Engineered Pumps segment support
    – Manage the quoting process for engineered equipment, working in close collaboration with the Segment Sales Manager, LNG and Engineered pumps. Responsibilities will include developing quotations in response to customer quotation requests and RFQ’s, as well as sales opportunities developed by Aftermarket Sales; creating and managing Salesforce opportunities, archiving documentation in Salesforce and documenting activities; liaising with Aftermarket Sales, NCI and ACD on pricing; project management of sales opportunities and associated workflows; preparing of quotations and associated documents, with or without customer contact.
  • Credit and Sales Orders – Manage credit approval workflow for new accounts and clearly communicate payment terms to the customer. Upon order receipt, assist Operations with the timely and accurate entry of customer purchase orders for contracted and non-contracted services, as well as with internal orders for Field Service, parts and services. Act as liaison/partner with Aftermarket Sales, Field Service and Customers to meet commitments/needs and to help resolve credit and purchase order issues.
  • New Contract Development – Develop a deep understanding of Nikkiso contract language and boiler plate, as well as an understanding of the diverse coverage models and contract provisions outlined in customer Supply and Service Agreements. Work with Nikkiso Legal, customer legal and the Aftermarket Sales Team to project manage the contract negotiation, agreement and approval process in a timely manner. Ensure that contract language is clearly communicated to customers for their approval.
  • Monitor Contract Performance – Maintain a database of existing Service Agreements. Liaise with Field Service to understand and track existing Service Agreement deliverables as outlined in fulfillment of customer contract obligations. Monitor contract performance by providing monthly and quarterly tracking reports and any ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Workflow and Process Improvement – Work with Aftermarket Sales, Operations, ACD and NCI to identify and resolve workflow-related issues, as well as opportunities for workflow improvements. Provide support for process improvements and timely resolution. Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.
  • Project Management - Effectively manage and prioritize projects with minimal supervision. Provide support as needed for timely resolution of internal and external customer needs in coordination with Aftermarket Sales, Operations and Field Service.


Applicants should exhibit a good understanding of accounting, sales support and customer service principles, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and the ability to support the Aftermarket Sales Team independently with minimal supervision. Candidates should be adept at managing multiple priorities and sometimes conflicting deliverables in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in similar roles either in a Field Service / Aftermarket support or customer service.

  • Works independently: Able to make decisions and work independently with minimal supervision. Able to respond to requests and resolve issues in situations that require knowledge and sound judgment. Able to use good judgement in consulting manager for help on issues outside of defined workflows.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:

Education Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional English language proficiency is mandatory. Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Experience

  • 5 years of experience in in a similar Aftermarket / Field Service support role or customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Physical Demands

  • To perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to type and write, and feel objects, tools, or controls; lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinets.
  • Overtime may be necessary as the workload dictates. This could include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Ability to lift to 42 lbs. may be required.
  • Use standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, printers, photocopiers, etc.

Work Environment

  • Work from home.
  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to a Nikkiso site or a customer's office.
  • Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.

Safety

  • Complete safety training requirements.
  • Participate in other training as directed by the company or manager.
  • Wear Nikkiso approved PPE as needed and direct team and others to do the same as appropriate.
