Job Description
We seek an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide design and management expertise for electrical systems associated with process equipment related to the industrial gas and natural gas processing industries.
The ideal candidate will have experience with power distribution and protection circuits, PLC controls, instrumentation, motor specification, and motor controls.
This position requires an individual to take charge of the design and application of codes for all electrical systems provided by Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries.
The successful candidate will review customer specifications, produce electrical designs, panel drawings, Bills of Material, single line diagrams, schematics, and write vendor specifications in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing environments.
- Specific experience with Induction Electrical motors for rotating machinery (compressors, turbines, expanders, fans, pumps)
- Engineering design codes knowledge and use desired as follows:
- National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70
- NFPA Electrical Area Hazard classification standards
- NEMA standards (motors, circuit protection, etc.)
- IEC European electrical standards, CSA Canadian Standards, & UL requirements
- Minimum computer skills:
- 2D and 3D CAD experience desirable
- Most recent versions of Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical/Mechanical
- Bill of Materials management systems (ERP)
