What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Clerk position at Niles Industrial Coatings?
Summary of Position
In this role, they will assist the Accounts Receivable/Billing Manager with execution of daily work; generating Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; entering unit rate sheets into Access Database; verifying transactions; following internal accounting controls and general record keeping. They will also assist the Contract Administrators, Project Managers, and Estimators with pre-bid qualifications and billing needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Input data from Unit Rate sheets into Access billing file
- Create Excel spreadsheets to be submitted for payment to the appropriate customer.
- Generate invoices in the company ERP system.
- Communicate with Contract Administrator, Work Coordinators, and other accounting staff to execute daily work.
- Work with payroll to resolve any issues with time on Unit Rate sheets.
- File Unit Rate sheets
- Record and maintain the Invoice Tracking Log
- Work with customers to resolve billing issues.
- Interface new jobs ERP for quotes or contracts
- Assist in processing new contracts
- Create job folders on N Drive and upload relevant documents.
- Ensure tracking spreadsheets are kept updated for the jobs and the remittances.
- Review tracking list weekly to invoice
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting preferred
- 1-3 years of general accounting experience
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
Technical Skills
- Basic Math Comprehension
- Strong Excel Skills
- Microsoft Access knowledge
- Adobe Acrobat Suite
