Financial Analyst

Summary of Position

Niles Shared Services is looking for a financial professional to build out a core finance function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position will be analyzing business activity, including finance, accounting, sales, operations, and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Participate in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting.

· Analyze operational results relative to budget assumptions and recent trends.

· Analyze the profitability of projects, regions, and segments.

· Develop financial models to evaluate new or emerging lines of business.

· Contribute to continuous process improvement; Always looking for opportunities to streamline and eliminate redundancies.

· Perform special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

· 3-5 years’ experience in a financial professional role.

· BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent preferred.

· Construction or manufacturing experience preferred familiarity with Work in Process accounting.

· Strong technical abilities, i.e., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and/or other analytical tools

· Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills as it relates to data mining and analytics.

· Strong written and communication skills.

· Self-motivated, high personal responsibility and integrity.

· Collaborative, team-oriented individual willing to assist wherever needed to ensure the group provides accurate and timely financial information.
