This is a part-time/seasonal position. No benefits. Hours are varied throughout the season which runs from May-September. Pay rate is $17/hour.

- When on duty, adhering to the Lifeguard protocols in regard to continual scanning, lifeguard skills, and responding to emergencies.
- Providing CPR/AED, Spinal Injury Management, First Aid, and in water rescues.
- Ability to enforce all rules firmly yet courteously and diplomatically.
- Ensure the safety of patrons by enforcing the established pool rules and responding to emergencies when they arise.
- Expresses good judgement involving rules and disciplining patrons based on established rules and not emotion. Any punishment assigned should fit the severity of the violation.
- Enforce rules on the pool deck and throughout the facility, in and outside of the facility. Pick up trash, lookout for undesirable individuals, drinking, fighting, and other rule enforcement.
- Participate in random Lifeguard audits.
- Attend in service regularly and other job specific training.
- Perform any other duties as required or assigned.
- Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.
- Applicants must be 15 years of age or older.
- Must obtain work permit if under 16.
- Offer of employment for lifeguard position is contingent upon successful completion of Star Guard Lifeguard training.
- Must be available for Star Guard Lifeguard Training on Saturday, May 10th and Saturday, 17th from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Prerequisite skills: Ability to swim 200 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes, swim 50 meters continuously with tube, demonstrate skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
