About The Role
Nili Lotan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Technical Designer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in technical design, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite. This role supports the technical design team by assisting in the development and production of woven garments, ensuring quality, fit, and construction meet the brand's high standards.
Responsibilities
- Check in and measure development and production samples to ensure accuracy against tech packs.
- Prepare fitting areas with all necessary supplies and garments for both development and production fittings.
- Assist in live fit sessions on models, taking detailed fit notes and digital photographs for documentation.
- Assist with creating and maintaining technical packages, including BOMs (bill of materials), comment pages, and diagrams.
- Develop detailed Adobe Illustrator diagrams to communicate corrections and garment construction details to patternmakers and factory partners.
- Conduct fusible tests on fabrics to evaluate compatibility for patternmakers.
- Provide general support to the technical design team and assist with additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in technical design, preferably with woven garments.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic understanding of garment fit, construction, and quality standards.
