OBJECTIVE
The Pump Operator effectively and efficiently operates fluid pump equipment, including performing maintenance, maintain and submitting drivers’ logs and time sheets in a timely fashion and making sure required safety and operational procedures are followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observe company standards at all times, including keeping workspaces and vehicles clean and free of safety hazards at all times and utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Promote and participate in all required safety, compliance and certifications programs. Maintain all required logbooks and inspection reports.
- Maintain assigned equipment and perform daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements. Report all operational deficiencies to supervisor and maintenance personnel.
- Operate a fluid pump within a coil tubing spread without direct supervision in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
- Use knowledge of fluid pumps and associated equipment including proficiency in the proper start-up of equipment, initiation of pumping, switching tanks, maintaining proper rate and pressure as per job requirements and / or procedures.
- Perform in-field maintenance and repair to equipment including, but not limited to: re-packing fluid pumps, re-build chokes and field dress BOP’s and pack-offs.
- Monitor well control parameters and calculations before and during job applications.
- Practice and promote safe driving procedures when travelling to and from locations.
EXPERIENCE
- Class A CDL required; hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in a related field preferred
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, drug screen and Motor Vehicles Record (MVR) check in accordance with DOT regulations
- Knowledge of fluid pumps and associated equipment
- Ability to perform in-field repair of equipment.
